I love this poker game, for everything, I don’t have anything to say about it ‘cause it’s perfect, literally!

Unplayable

Love the game so far and own the original version as well, but it has unexpected crashes so far. Please fix.

All I can is unfair…. compter will win 99% of the time…. very fursterating please fix the IA

The game is great! You visit several cities in the old west, participating of poker game in different situations. Its very diverse and attractive. The number of oponents will vary from one to 24, but you play only against the computer. You have the option to invest money buying buildings that will help you to get more money in the future. In contrast, there is banks available to lend you some money when you loose all in the table. The grafics are good, and it is very dynamic. I really recomend the game!!

This game surprised me. It is extremely enjoyable, and I hardly play any computer games because I usually find them tiresome pretty quickly. The AI is excellent and the players provide a challenge to me, although I am not an experienced poker player so bear that in mind. Presumably Nate Silver would have no trouble at all :) But I am a newbie to poker and find it challenging but still manage to win and make money overall. So I think it is well-designed and nicely tuned. Sometimes the players bluff and sometimes they dont. Some are aggressive, some tight, and everywhere in between. Its a lot of fun and as long as Im not fooled into thinking this means I can go to Vegas and make a fortune its simply done me a big favor! I just saw that other reviewers have a problem with crashes, so it should be helpful information that I am running mountain lion on a macbook pro and it hasnt crashed for me.

Games plays fine for a few minutes, but then slows down to the point where all I can do is attempt to force a quit. Sometime even that involves a long and convoluted process. I am playing the PE addition of version 2 on a MacBook Air. OS X is 10.8.4; Processor is 1.86 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo; Memory is 2GB 1067 MHz DDR3

The chances of you having a better hand than the AI is 1 out of 10. Played for hours and even when I thought I had a good hand the AI will always trump your hand. I have always loved this game but winning also adds to the fun. PLEASE FIX

It would be a big improvement if it didn’t miscalculate the winning hand on a regular basis. It would be nice if there was a button to push to find out why the computer thinks a pair beats a high card straight etc. There is no help available in the program. Examples: 1. The program gave the hand to a four card straight of low cards over a high singleton. 2. It gave the win to a low pair in hand over a higher pair in hand. The common cards were lower in rank then the higher pair in hand and didn’t help either player. Today a pair of 2s beat an ace high flush.

Not to sound like a sore looser but I don’t see how you can amass the amount of money in order to go to all the towns. The program will not let you win enough to advance. Some of the wins are unbelievable, even for a game of chance.

I made it through all the cities and beat the governor. It took awhile, but was worth it, as winning the cities and challenges made it an interesting game and challenging game. I have to say that there is a bit of a pattern and it rewards aggressive play. SPOILER: You can beat a lot of the challenges by going all in frequently and at the first bet. If your challenger meets or exceeds your bet more than twice (at the turn and river), you can be pretty sure they have a better hand. SPOILER: An Ace with a low card rarely if ever is a good hand. A high card with a middle card (like Queen and 7) or a pair of 5s, for example, is often a really good hand. If you play enough, you’ll start picking out patterns like low straights happen often. Play too aggressively, and on most every hand, you’ll lose consistently. The first few cities are pretty tough, but once you get going it plays well. You may have to start fresh over a couple times before you accumulate enough money to keep going to finish the game. As far as the ‘wrong’ hands winning, I had no such problem. There is a box next to the dealer that you can click and it will show you the winning hand and why it is the winning hand. The game takes all the highest cards so that may include all the cards on the table plus your card (versus just using your cards and adding from whats on the table to it - hope that made sense). Again, click on the box next to the dealer and it will show you how it made the winning hand and who had it.

This is a very fun game but I can’t save my previous achievements. How can I save them? Any idea?

I just wish there was some way of knowing what cities you have to go to when you want to play for the train or the riverboat. It says it no where and is super upsetting. makes the game agervating.

I’m stranded in Abilene with no money. It tells me to sell property or borrow money for the ante. Surprise, you can’t sell your property in another town, and Abilene has no bank. All I can do is hit the dadgummed calendar 20 times, and dismiss the reputation prompt about 12 times to get enough money to play again. Customer service, Sabrine, advised me to “wait ‘till money gets freed up, Watch a free video, invite friends, or rate us…..or just purchase some chips. But I can find no way to do any of those things, other than collecting fees. I sent more clarifying info just to be told, what towns sell what transport. Don’t the customer service reps ever read a complaint all the wsy through???? Ironically, I still like playiing this game!
